I’ve been lifting weights for a little while now, but I’m getting these tough calluses that my wife doesn’t like. Also, my hands sometimes give out before my arms do. Would weight lifting gloves help?
Also, I don’t want to look like a meathead. I remember reading somewhere about these gloves that only fit on the inside of your hands – they’re more like leather straps that go over the inside of your knuckles. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Or have other suggestions for weight lifting gloves that aren’t so dorky looking?

Hi . I am 14 years old. I am 5 foot 6. and weigh 55kg. I am interested in starting lifting weights. I recently got a dumbell. set for christmas. can someone please explain to me how i must start my body building programme eg. what weight should i lift at first ? do i need to gain weight? how often should i exercise ? are there any supplements I should take, I personally think i need to gain weight first as i am skinny for my age.

What is an effective weight lifting routine for building muscle? How many sets and repetitions per set should I be doing?
For example, if I am doing bench presses, should I do 12 repetitions and slightly increase the weight per set? Or should I use a larger increase the weight per set and do less repetitions?
If anyone could provide some tips or advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ok i asked that question about gaining Weight in like a month. thanks for your answers and yes a month is unrealistic. so on the realistic side what do you guys do? i read an answer from a body builder and it intrigued me. what do you guys do everyday when it comes to gaining wieght?

I want to look better coz I am working in media but I don’t know a lot about body building
1-Some trainer told me that you have to lose weight first before I start working on enlarging my muscles. Is this correct or not ?
2-How long does it take to have “obvious” muscles?
3-I heared that If you played body building you can not stop coz you will become really fat. Is this correct ?
